Price of Pollution

Six years ago, people in Marinette and Peshtigo discovered they were living in the path of a major PFAS contamination plume. Today, this beautiful area in northeastern Wisconsin is considered one of the worst hotspots for PFAS pollution in the country.

Fighting pollution has been at the core of Clean Wisconsin’s mission since it was founded 54 years ago. The reason is simple. Our health depends on the health of our planet—on the air we breathe, the water we drink, the soil where we grow our food. Fighting dangerous pollution is a daily struggle. Thank you to the people of Marinette and Peshtigo for sharing your stories. Peace of mind has been taken away, but the love of their home and their community endures.
